About the Opportunity
- Build and maintain financial models to analyze investment and development opportunities across multiple asset classes (retail, residential, industrial, land, and mixed-use).
- Provide analysis on the existing portfolio as part of the ongoing transactions program.
- Assist in ad hoc projects related to asset management, complex lease transactions, financing and portfolio management.
- Prepare, research and summarize market analysis and trends (such as demographics, technology, competition, supply, future infrastructure, etc.) for various projects, markets and assets under review.
- Review, summarize and incorporate third party findings in analyses (e.g. cost consultants, geotechnical reports).
- Perform due diligence on potential investments, ensuring all relevant details and risks are thoroughly evaluated.
- Assist in preparing presentations and approval packages for management, investment committees and board meetings.
- Support the Transactions team during the closing of acquisitions and dispositions, as appropriate.
About You
- A post-secondary degree in commerce, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- 1-2 years’ relevant experience in real estate development, investment, or asset management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with ARGUS is an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to take initiative and drive tasks to completion.
- Excellent team player with the ability to collaborate effectively and build strong working relationships.
- A genuine passion for real estate and a keen interest in investment analysis.
- Strong due diligence, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Confident and proactive with the ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work extended hours, as required.
Salary Range
$70,000 to $82,000/year
