Administer staff consultation and grievance proceduresCoordinate the activities of the HR department in order to ensure they meet the organization's goals Plan and organize daily operationsPlan, develop, implement and evaluate human resources policies and programsReview HR projects to assure compliance with laws and regulations Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs and collective agreementsMediate labour disputes and grievancesResearch and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions and salary scalesCo-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programsResearch employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changesHire, train and supervise staffNegotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers
