Work Arrangements: Due to the nature of the work and operational requirements, this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (combination of working onsite and telework). The Role
NRC’s Industrial Research Assistance Program is recruiting Program Officers to help support various programs managed by the IRAP International team. The role of the Program Officer is to support IRAP’s initiatives and program deliverables. The Program Officer would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
As a Program Officer you will be reporting to the Manager, International Program Office. You will provide advice and guidance related to specific program areas. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in order to meet IRAP’s goals to help grow and support SME in Canada.

Education
A University degree related to the duties of the position or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience
- Significant experience* in developing procedures, processes and guidance material related to the administration and operations of programs.
- Significant experience* in giving advice and making recommendations to managers on complex programming or situations.
- Significant experience* in developing, liaising and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and / or external stakeholders.
- Significant experience* in coordinating or managing projects.
*Note: Significant experience is defined as 2 to 6 years of experience.
Assets:
- Experience in the design and delivery of transfer payment programs.
- Experience applying theories and principles of social sciences including economic, socio-economic, demographic and statistical research, forecasting and analysis.
- Experience developing and implementing internal audit and/or internal control strategies or delivering internal audit and/or internal control services.
- Experience in coordinating change management activities.
- Experience in developing business requirements and/or in performing quality assurance related activities (including but not limited to performing functional, systems, regression, usability testing and documenting results).

Compensation
From $76,634 to $90,093 per annum.
In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
