Salary Range: $89,469-$111,834 per annum plus comprehensive benefits

Hours of work: 35 hours per week
Who We Are:The Office of Climate Change and Energy Management (OCCEM) leads the Region of Peel’s efforts in creating a low-carbon, resilient community by driving climate change and energy management initiatives with transparency, innovation, and shared leadership.
What You Will Do:
- Serve as the key contact for the Energy Management Systems Program (EMSP), managing Schneider Electric and Energy Hippo software
- Ensure accuracy and functionality of energy management systems across Regional facilities
- Provide strategic and technical advice on energy initiatives and work with external software hosts and Energy Finance
- Conduct field visits for energy meter installations and data analysis
- Monitor real-time energy data, resolve issues, and optimize EMSP processes
- Analyze energy trends, risks, and opportunities, and make recommendations to improve systems
- Compile data and support Ontario energy and greenhouse gas reporting
- Provide energy metering advice for various initiatives and conduct staff training
- Manage EMSP budgets and collaborate with internal teams on website updates

What the role requires:
- Relevant University degree in technical discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental Science or a related field, combined with a minimum of 5 years experience, although an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
- Good understanding of climate change science and impacts as they relate to mitigation actio
Skills/Abilities:
- Proven experience in vendor management and managing capital project budgets
- Expertise in energy management systems like Energy Hippo, Schneider Electric, Energy Insight, CDIT/Kofax
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on problem-solving, innovation, and strategic business solutions
- Excellent research and analytical abilities to identify and resolve energy system issues
- Knowledge of computer networking, communication systems, and energy/electrical systems
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions (heat, cold, pests)
- Strong written communication and proficiency in Microsoft Office and graphical software

In this role, you’ll benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes meaningful in-person connection. A minimum of two days per week on-site is expected, with additional in-person presence as operational needs evolve. This arrangement allows for a blend of in person and hybrid work that adapts to support both organizational priorities and employee flexibility and is subject to change over time.
It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario.
